Have you heard the Rights of Children?
Ah ... because they exist and are not few! There are 54 rights and are there to ensure that all children have the necessary conditions to develop in a harmonious, healthy and happy!
However, throughout the world, all children share the same rights. It was in 1989 that Portugal, together with other countries, approved an agreement that gave the name of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In 1990 he became a law in Portugal. With this convention, all are to know what children can do, as well as the responsibilities that fall to states and to adults.
Here are some of your rights:
2. All children have the same rights, no matter their color, race or sex, the language they speak or the country in which they live.
3. The decisions that adults take on the lives of children should always ensure their well-being.
5. Children are entitled to have the state of the country in which they live to help their parents give them the best conditions of life.
6. All children are entitled to live and grow.
9. Children should not be separated from parents, only if the mistreat them.
Always have the right to see and speak with parents, even if they do not live together.
12. Children have the right to give their opinion and be heard, taking into account their age, in decisions that concern them.
13. Children are entitled to say what they think and feel, through speech, writing, or otherwise, since they do not harm the rights of others.
16. Children have the right to be respected, and no one without just cause, must go in your life, your family, in the things which belong to them or their secrets.
18. The education and development of children is the responsibility of parents or if not possible, people who take care of them.
19. No adult may mistreat a child.
The State shall protect children from all forms of violence.
23. Disabled children are entitled to receive special care in order to live as the other boys and girls.
